Sales Manager - Hampton West (Calabasas, CA)

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager, who will primarily be responsible for selling slow moving inventory to new, as well as existing brick and mortar retailers as well as online retailers in the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will achieve sales volume, distribution and profit objectives for assigned accounts through acceptable account management practices to include planning, coordinating and executing company selling strategies

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Seek out and sell slow moving inventory to new accounts, understanding that much of the sales will come from new account business
  • Conduct regular, scheduled headquarter calls with buyers and any/all account personnel with influence on the categories in which we participate
  • Identify, prospect and sell to new targeted accounts
  • Develop new account/new business presentations
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategy
  • Monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against goals
  • Plan, execute and communicate strategic sales activity to retailers and HDI stakeholders
  • Represent the company at trade shows and/or business meetings

Education and/or Experience 

  • Proven successful consumer product retail trade sales management experience
  • BA required, MBA preferred.  Minimum 5 years consumer goods sales management experience
  • Category management, merchandising and marketing experience looked upon favorably
  • 30% travel both domestically and Canada
